Fragmento

This piece merges architecture, art and technology. The center of the installation is to invite the spectator to become one with the piece, by feel involved with these colorful fragments and by interacting with them.

The initial concept comes from the leaf membrane texture, and how from the fragments inside the membrane we can create a totally new leaf.

“Fragmento” is a 12 x 6 meters piece hanging from the roof of an amphitheater. The shape varies from which perspective it might be seen, depending the position of the spectator you can see an abstract shape but if you are totally underneath you can see the shape of the leaf.

“To this very day, I still miss the feeling of working on this installation. The wiring, soldering, last-minute debugging, the long nights.”
