Next To Normal

The first time I read the script of the play, I knew it would be quite interesting to be able to translate what was going through the head of the main character into something visual, but without disturbing the audience.

I had to create a balance between telling a story of what she was feeling and what she sees but at the same time leaving room for the audience to create their own story, a unique one that is not equal to the person sitting next.

To do this, most of the visual content was done in real-time and using different types of motion sensors.
